Today I had agreed to meet my children in the Big Rock cafe, at the other end of the Cob in Porthmadog, where they could wait for me over a hot chocolate, on the basis of the forecast, which proved to be correct; everyone happy!
Edge of Nowhere Freezing fog pulses in and out over Llyn Tegid, leaving behind frost covered trees and a distant view with no revealing scenery.	buy this item

buy this item	Standing Out I first photographed these trees in these conditions on Fuji Velvia with my Canon T90 approximately 10 years ago, didn't quite get it right, and had burnt out areas where the sun shone brightest on the frost and ice. So I was delighted to see the conditions repeated, although the trees are a little larger, and the histogram proved its worth.
Frosted Llyn Dinas on a bitterly cold morning, grasses and trees covered in frost and a snow covering on the distant Moel Habog. The National Trust currently have a campaign to buy the Dinas estate and save it from commercial development.	buy this item
buy this item	Snow and Cloud I was originally drawn to this scene by the strong light, but as the cloud built, I became more interested in the patterns of snow on the dark frozen waters of Llyn Dinas resembling the cloud formation above.
Iced Many of the streams had ice clinging to their edges, this particular lump caught my eye because of the light shining through it. Cwm Pennant.	buy this item
