The bright greens and yellows of grasses, sedge and Monkeyflower, belie the fact that they are virtually floating on the waters surface, and prove very difficult to get close to.

I have been trying to take a picture of this Golderod on the shore of Llyn Tegid for some time. Here it lies beaten by wind and rain, although the light was good....keep trying.

Two brave souls from Blaenau Camera Club joined me on an outing to Moel-y-Gest in conditions which offered hope only to those with an optimistic outlook. Twenty minutes before sunset, we were rewarded for our efforts and patience.
